KUWAIT DEFENCE MINISTER ORDERS PROBE INTO NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS’ DEATH

KUWAIT, Kuwait’s First Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, instructed Saturday, investigation of the deaths of non-commissioned officers, at the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Military College, and Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Force College.

The Army Staff Command, acting upon instructions, formed a committee, with members from the Ministry of Health, with a mandate of re-examining non-commissioned officers, in the two colleges, the ministry of defence said, in a statement.

The committee members, it added, would also assess medical services, food offered for fresh officers, and impact of training on their health condition.

The army is dealing with this issue with complete neutrality, and findings would be made public, said the ministry’s statement.
