Kuwaiti deputy FM arrives in UK to attend strategic talks

Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah headed a delegation of various government bodies at the 12th biannual UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group meeting, arrived in London on Sunday.

Receiving him at Stanstead Airport was Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UK Khaled Al-Duwaisan.

The Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting includes Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Ambassador Walid Al-Khubaizi and Assistant Foreign Minister for the Deputy Foreign Minister’s office, Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar.

The UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group was formed during His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to London in 2012.

The group’s membership includes a number of Kuwaiti and British state ministries and bodies. It holds its meetings alternately between Kuwait and London.

Over the last six years, the joint group has aimed to take the historic relationship to new heights and boost the two nations’ strategic partnership in various fields.
