KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia plans to open an embassy to Palestine in Jordan along with consulates in the Palestinian cities of Ramallah and Gaza next year, the foreign minister said on Saturday.
The consulates on Palestinian soil will give Kuala Lumpur representation in both territories, Minister Saifuddin Abdullah said in a statement.
Establishing an embassy is not an option, he added, as Malaysia can only deal with Israel.
Malaysia is currently diplomatically represented in Palestine by its non-resident ambassador in Egypt.
