Trump discusses Korean Summit with Macron

President Donald Trump has spoken with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the summit in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, said a White House statement.

During the discussion, late on Friday, Trump reaffirmed, “the United States goal of achieving a complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea,” the statement said.

“The leaders conferred on ensuring a political solution to the situation in Syria through the United Nations Geneva process.” Additionally, Trump underscored, “his goal of negotiating a comprehensive deal with Iran that covers Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs and malign activities in the region,” it added.

Finally, Trump called on the EU to enter into negotiations to reduce trade barriers.
