TEHRAN, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif warned on Wednesday European countries against taking any action against his country after scaling back its commitments as per the cracking nuclear deal.
In a press statement, Zarif on the sidelines of the African national day held in Tehran, said the European countries sadly did not execute their commitments and they were not in a position to issue a statement against Iran.
He stated that any EU action against Iran would “be a big mistake”.
Europeans cannot force us on doing anything, he said, noting that Iran would work to secure its national interests.
He advised European countries to fulfill their nuclear deal commitments.
“Tehran has no intention to attack its neighbors and it is part of region’s security and stability,” Zarif argued.
